Leela Grethe Hansen from Goteburg comes to Kinvara
If you wish to train with a master of over 40 years join us in Kinvara for what will be a really great yoga event. Leela has run the oldest Iyengar Yoga studio in Goteburg for over 30 years.
I recently met Leela at the Nordic Iyengar Yoga Convention where Abhijata was teaching. Myself and Leela immediately clicked and I was so delighted when she said she would come over to Ireland and share her unique style of teaching.
Besides her senior advanced qualification she has a most beautiful energy and nature. I met so many of the teachers she has trained who sing her praises. Her reputation in Sweden is second to none. And I for one am really looking forward to advancing in my practice under her teaching.
Often students think they will not be able for so much yoga or that they are not flexible enough - I can assure you that Leela is a very kind and gentle teacher - the class will not be advanced and is mixed level - my reason for hosting these workshops is to advance Yoga in the Galway area - however one years experience will help a lot.
The studio here in Kinvara is small so please book well in advance to avoid disappointment.
The Schedule
Friday 12th April Asana Class 7-9 pm
Saturday 13th Asana Class 10am - 1 and 4 - 6pm
Sunday 14th Asana Class 10am - 1 and 4 - 6pm
The Cost of the Yoga is 180 euro
A non refundable deposit of 75 euro is payable to hold a mat.
All equipment is provided. The studio will be closed between classes. Bring wet gear if you fancy a walk in the Burren.

A little bit about the area
If you have never been to Kinvara or spent time in the Burren you are in for a treat. The Burren is a unique limestone outcrop with many special Celtic sites of interest. I personally love the holy wells in the Burren, and often visit them and mediate by their ancient healing waters. I am very happy to show you around some off the beaten track places in the Burren which compliments the yoga very well. With the Atlantic on one side and the beautiful mystic Burren on the other side - this is a great opportunity to experience a complete escape from normal daily life.
This is one of my favourite places Dunguaire Casle- which is literally just opposite my house and the studio.
